Frequently Asked Legal Questions

Can I use SGNLS in an emergency?
SGNLS is not an emergency service. If you are in a life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately. SGNLS is for non-emergency vehicle distress only.
Are Techs employees of SGNLS?
No. All Techs are independent contractors. SGNLS is a technology platform that facilitates connections between users and service providers — not an employer.
Who processes my payment?
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. SGNLS does not store your full card details. SGNLS Membership is billed through Apple In-App Purchase and managed through your Apple ID account settings.
Where is SGNLS data stored?
User data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) on the blvckmeta-core project. Data is stored in Firebase's default US regions. Firebase's privacy policy governs their handling of data.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Request account deletion at any time by contacting legal@sgnls.app. Profile data is deleted within 30 days; payment records are retained up to 7 years per financial regulations.
What governing law applies?
SGNLS Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are resolved through binding individual arbitration in Los Angeles County, CA.
How do I exercise my CCPA or GDPR rights?
California residents and EU/UK users can exercise data access, deletion, or portability rights by contacting legal@sgnls.app. We respond to verified requests within 45 days.
